Alcohol consumption and obvious public drunkenness: Drunk and disorderly conduct in a public place is prohibited and punishable by a fine of up to €150.
Drug use: Use of illicit drugs is prohibited in France. Cannabis use is a major offence punishable by a fine ranging from €150 to 450.
Prostitution: Engaging the services of a prostitute is an offence punishable by a fine of €1,500.
Noise pollution: Olympic and Paralympic Games are a festive sporting event but public tranquillity must be preserved. Thus, noise pollution can incur a fine ranging from €68 to 180.
Littering: Littering or urinating on the public road can incur a fine ranging from €135 to 375.
Transport: Luggage labelling is mandatory. Abandoning luggage is an offence that inevitably entails the intervention bomb disposal services. The offender may receive a notice of contravention.
Use of drones: Leisure drones are under a strict regulation that takes into account the features of the drone, the pilot and the flight zone.

It is prohibited to take into sports arenas

  • any beverage;
  • any food;
  • illicit drug;
  • any document, leaflet, badge, insignia, banner of any size, with a political, ideological, advertising purpose or any other medium with commercial purpose that could be seen by spectators or television viewers, particularly minors;
  • any object that could be used as a weapon, a projectile or endanger public safety such as tools, knives, razors, box cutters, plastic or glass bottles, glasses, cans, sticks and staffs, batteries, metal boxes, rigid flagpoles, bars, bolts, steel balls, umbrellas, walking sticks (although walking sticks with a protective tipare authorized for the elderly or infirm), sharp or
    blunt objects;
  • rockets, fireworks or any pyrotechnical device;
  • explosive, flammable or volatile substances;
  • helmets;
  • foghorns, Vuvuzelas;
  • laser pointers.

Call for fan vigilance

Pickpockets: Be careful, pickpockets may be present in transportation and at gathering places. Please look after your personal belongings carefully.
Scam: It is strongly advised not to buy your ticket from a third party. You run the risk of falling victim to a scam by purchasing a fake ticket or one that has already been sold several times. Other forms of scam include games of chance in the street or individuals inviting you to sign a document.
